Even After Closing, I’ve Got Your Back 💛
One of the things I love most about being a realtor in Union, SC is not just helping people buy or sell homes but building real relationships and being a trusted resource long after closing day.
I helped a first-time homebuyer couple purchase their very first home back in 2022. A few years later in 2025, they called me again because something just did not feel right about a roofing quote they had been given.
They were quoted $35,000 for a new roof and had already signed up for a loan with interest. By the time that loan was paid off, the roof would have cost them over $50,000. When they told me that, I immediately knew something was off. A roof on their home should have been closer to $10,000.
Unfortunately, they had signed the contract before reaching out to me. Even so, I did not want them stuck in a bad situation.
I picked up the phone and spoke directly with the roofing salesman. After asking a few questions, it became clear they had been given misleading information. They were told the new roof would dramatically increase their home’s value, which simply is not true. A new roof is important, but it does not add that kind of value.
Long story short, I was able to get them out of the contract and save them more than $50,000.
